This policy explains what data the Gözqulaq app (“Gözqulaq”, “we”) collects, why, and how you can delete it. Questions: support@gozqulaq.com

What Gözqulaq is

Gözqulaq is an app that notifies people in Azerbaijan about gas, electricity and water outages, weather warnings, and transport and service changes. It is not an official government service.

What we collect

If you use the app without an account:

• your device's push-notification token and the app language;
• the list of organizations you follow (so we send you relevant notifications).

If you sign in with Apple or Google, also:

• your name, email address and a link to your profile picture (Apple may hide your email);
• the districts you saved as places, the alert categories you want, and the organizations you follow.

Anonymous counts: how many times an alert or an ad was opened or tapped. These are numbers only and are not linked to you or your device.

Technical data: our server briefly processes your IP address to answer requests and to protect against abuse.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or advertising identifier. We do not track you across apps and websites, and we use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

How we use it

• to send alerts for the places and organizations you chose;
• to keep your account and choices across your devices;
• to keep the service secure and to produce overall (anonymous) statistics.

Advertising

The app may show ads labelled “Ad”. They are chosen by the alert's category and district, not by your personal profile. We do not track you. No ads are shown under critical or emergency alerts.

Automatically collected alerts

Some alerts are collected automatically from public news sites and official pages. Only those public texts are processed by an AI service (Anthropic); no data about our users is sent to it. Such alerts name their source.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. To run the service we use:

• Apple (push notifications, Sign in with Apple);
• Google (only if you choose Sign in with Google);
• Hetzner (server hosting, Germany, European Union);
• Cloudflare (domain and DNS);
• Anthropic (public news text only, never user data).

Our servers are in Germany, so your data is stored outside Azerbaijan.

How long we keep it

• Account data is kept until you delete the account.
• A push token is removed when you uninstall the app or Apple reports it invalid.
• Anonymous counts are kept in summarized form.
• Backup copies are overwritten within about 30 days.

Your rights and deleting your account

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data (in line with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Personal Data”).

You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, saved places and followed organizations from our servers.

If you use the app without an account, uninstalling it is enough. For any other request, write to support@gozqulaq.com.

Children

Gözqulaq is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we update this policy, this page will show the new date.
